Comparing to America, our advertisement would be different. Still, there are some advertisements outside.  I think American people like to make some ads on the wall, but people in Japan use poster as an PR tool. Also, painting wall is a bit hard in Japan. That is because most buildings are made of woods.  I asked my grandparents what kinds of ads on the wall. They answered there are some posters about movie when they are young. 懐かしい昭和時代の映画ポスター展 - 東北の玄関 南会津 そこには感動が!いっぱい (goo.ne.jp) When it comes to indoor poster, they do not have own room. They do not have freedom to put poster in the house. Also, they do not have such a habit to put poster inside the house. Advertisement seems to affect a lot after they became older. There were some ads on newspapers in the past, but they have been colorful and

With my interview, I could find some differences between now and the past.  When it comes to newspapers, they were common at my grandparents' childhood. As they are delivered in these days, there is the same system of delivery services for newspapers.  My grandfather likes to read it about sumou which is one of Japanese traditional sports. That is similar to wrestling. Sumo, Japan's National Sport - Kipling & Clark (kiplingandclark.com) We have this sport from the past time, so it is one of the favorite and unchangeable sport for him. When my grandparents were child, the only platform that they could get information was radio and newspapers. Thus, newspaper is definitely important for their life. When it comes to my grandfather, his house is very close from the cinema. Thus, he often visits  there alone. Here  is the picture of the cinema below this sentence. It is run until 1970s.  調布映画劇場 (chofu.com) My grandpa said; "I like to go there alone and chill in the cinema. That was totally a new experience for me because I just know smal

I did interview to my grandparents about Televison and found some differences from nowadays. So, I will share it today. Through this interview, I asked them a first experience of television. That was so impressive for me. My grandfather told me; Until they have their own TV "At the temple in Japan, there is a big space for watching television. Around 30 or more people come to watch it and enjoy together. It was very fun as if it were a movie theater nowadays . " This is the first Japanese style to watch television, but domestic TV had been spread because of the development of technology. Ironically, this helps people lifestyle  change. My grandfather felt a bit sad because everyone in the temple watches  one wrestling match and share happiness  and anger and so on. That was fun for him, but

I did a variety of questions about recordings to them. Today, I am going to make a summary of them. Also, I appreciate them that they accept my interview very kindly. When I start having an interview, they were confused a little bit. This is because it's hard for them to remember everything that they use easily. Also, they had been growing up during WWⅡ, especially in their childhood. This would be one of the reasons that they could not remind all the information very easily. Recordings; "Do you have any favorite recording artist at that time? How do you listen to it? " Grandpa said "Haha, to be honest, I did not listen to music when I was a child. Also, we cannot afford to use my time for it because we are poor and busy for working hard to make some foods with our rice field.&q
